Inside Al-Amin Mosque • Beirut, Lebanon

This is a BEAUTIFUL Mosque. The chandelier was unlike anything I've EVER seen. It's located downtown Beirut, next to Martyrs Square. We visited it right around christmas time and there was a christmas tree being decorated, right in front of it. I love Lebanon. If you've never been, then consider going. You'll LOVE it. Not to end on a sad subject, but this Mosque also shares the tomb of the assassinated Lebanese leader, Rafik Hariri (and his bodyguards). Sorry for the buzz kill... but it's a reality that many of us have never had to face. Yet the Lebanese see beyond the grey sky and move on. Another reason why I love Lebanon.
