Crusader castle of Byblos, Lebanon

The castle at Byblos guarded what was one fo the most important ports of the crusader kingdom of Jerusalem. It stands in the middle of the Phoenican and Roman settlement and is partly built with the pillars and stones of the abandoned buildings.
